Seen - The Film Screening

Dear Families / Staff

Spreyton Primary School Association are excited to announce they are hosting a screening of ‘Seen’ on August 19Th at 7pm at Reading Cinemas.  Seen is a parenting documentary centred around creating a deeper connection with our children through addressing past traumas and intergenerational parenting styles.  There are parts of this film that can resonate with everyone.

The documentary features parenting guru Maggie Dent and many other experts in their field, plus lived experiences from real life parents who have made positive changes to their family life.

The screening will be offered to the Spreyton Primary School community for free before being made available to the wider community for a $10 fee.   We urge everyone who cares for children including parents, carers, teachers and grandparents to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to improve the lives of our children.  Let’s fill the cinema, connect with each other, and take home some insight and positivity to our family life.

Further announcements will be made after the holidays or watch the trailer and get your free tickets now by clicking this link. Seen: The Film Link

School Soccer - Update

Dear Families / Coaches

We have been notified by Devonport Junior Soccer Association that they would like players to revert back to handshakes after games instead of elbow bumps please. This change is due to some issues they have seen with physicality around the elbow bumps, and they want to encourage good sportsmanship in a more familiar way.

Coaches are asked to supervise the handshakes to help ensure they’re done respectfully and in the right spirit.

Also, a reminder – if any problems come up during a game, please don’t wait until the end to raise them. Find a committee member on the day so they can help sort things out straight away.

Thanks for your support and looking forward to a great rest of the season.

Regards,
Derek Henry
Physical Education Teacher

Latrobe High Transition Activity Cancelled

Dear %%first_name%%,

Latrobe High School has informed us that the Headspace Mental Health Education Program transition activity scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, along with the parent session in the evening, has been cancelled. This is due to the external facilitator being unexpectedly on personal leave.

Latrobe High explored all available options to find a suitable replacement facilitator; however, due to the short notice, they were unfortunately unable to secure one in time.

These sessions will be rescheduled in Term 3, we will provide further details once they are confirmed.

Latrobe High sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your understanding.
