Spreyton Primary School is situated close to the City of Devonport and has a current enrolment of 353 students. At Spreyton Primary we celebrate the past of our school and the community, however, we also embrace the future and are focussed on preparing our students to be part of that future. We put the needs of the student at the heart of all decision making. At Spreyton Primary we embrace the values of Aspiration, Courage, Growth and Respect.
We foster Aspiration at Spreyton Primary by having high expectations for both student learning and teaching. As a staff we model Aspiration for our students by continually improving our teaching practice. Courage at Spreyton Primary means students exploring new ideas and embracing new learning challenges. It also means teaching staff are being courageous and trying new ways of teaching and learning. Growth at Spreyton Primary means we are always looking for ways to improve and are willing to learn from others. We learn from mistakes, overcome challenges, and build resilience. Respect at Spreyton Primary means we respect ourselves, others, our past, our future and our environment. We encourage both kindness and care. At Spreyton Primary we are committed to creating a school culture where all learners are respected and feel safe.
